INVISIBLE CONVERSATIONS ON RACE: Lost Discourse? Farrakhan Speaks On Hateful Rhetoric Against President Obama

“…Our wretched species is so made that those who walk on the well-trodden path always throw stones at those who are showing a new road.”  (Voltaire)

Over the years, I have learned that real communications can take place when we allow others, with different points of view, to talk while we openly listen with ours hearts and minds, as well as closing our mouths.  While I consider myself a Christian, I’ve often listened to the opinions of those of various other religions and beliefs and came away with an even better understanding or clarification of my own.

The measured rhetoric of skillful speakers- religious or secular- does not alway equate to truth and reality, in my opinion. However, like the innate ability to hunt in the animal kingdom, I think there’s just something within us all which instinctively pricks our senses and hones our minds when raw truth is heard among the noise of hate, trickery and ignorance in the world, especially the world of politics.

This all came to mind when listening to Minister Farrakhan’s speech at the Nation of Islam’s Annual Saviours’ Day convention. Listen and see for yourselves via the hyperlink below:

( News, Mar. 3, 2012) – Minister Farrakhan exposes the hate-filled rhetoric and writings of right-wing conservative elected officials such as New Gingrich, Rick Santorum and other influential members of American society directed at President Barack Obama and his family, during his keynote speech at the Nation of Islam’s annual Saviours’ Day convention.  View full video and download supporting documents @

Hmmm… That’s all I have to say on the matter.
